The Stalker

Posted on December 14, 2025December 14, 2025 by Doug Bayliss

 It’s 4 o’clock in the morning

 I haven’t slept a wink

 When I saw you there

had to stare

I couldn’t even blink.

I say! I know that you saw me

Not sorry if I creeped you out.

But when you got up and walked away,

in my mind, I had no doubt.

We will dance

You can run if you want to

But you won’t get away.

I’ll follow you home or wherever you go

And teach you to obey

Call the cops if you want to

 But I’ll just disappear

I’ll see you again, you’ll never know when

It might even be next year

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.

We will dance, we will dance.e

Everything’s under control.

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.l

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.

You might think I’m demented.

 I’m actually quite fermented.

 Been drinking all night

Can’t get you off my mind

  Our relationship’s been cemented.

Call the cops if you want to

 I’ll just run away

And then I’ll come back, you’re under attack

 I always get my way

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.l

We will dance, we will dance.

Everything’s under control.

We will dance, we will dance.

Everyone’s taking a chance.

It’s a safety dance
