Reception Planning

By working with you, your caterer and other team members we pledge to ensure that each step of your reception runs smoothly. We’ve done this time and time again and are very well versed in this type of activity.

Here is a sample wedding reception time line including the introductions, dinner, cake cutting, special dances, bouquet toss, garter toss, and socializing time.

6:00pm: 60mins: Hors d’oeuvre & Cocktail Hour. Wedding party is urged to arrive sometime during this first hour.

6:40pm: 5mins: Bridal Party Introductions
5mins: Bride and Groom Grand Entrance

6:50pm: 5mins: First Dance
5mins: Bride & Father Dance
5mins: Groom & Mother Dance

7:05pm: 5mins: Toast by Best Man. This is also an appropriate time for a blessing should one be desired.

7:10pm: 60mins: Sit down Dinner or Buffet.

8:10pm: 30mins: Open Dancing

8:40pm: 10mins: Bouquet Toss
10mins: Garter Toss

9:00: 15mins: Cut the Cake

9:15pm: 40mins: Resume Open Dancing

9:55pm: 5mins: Last Dance

10:00pm: Time to Say Goodnight!

There are many variations to this program such as dancing with your parents or guardians after dinner. We suggest a flow that feels natural to you.
